Here’s What Customers Are Saying About The PostureWorks…

“The PostureWorks Engage Series II is simple, yet extremely effective. We started using it for residents who required frequent repositioning, typically due to sliding or tilting, and it worked very well. Next we tried it on people with pressure sores, and again it has proven effective. My staff thinks the PostureWorks is great – they feel that their residents are safer and more comfortable, which enables them to do their job more effectively, and gives them peace of mind.”

“The PostureWorks is an innovative and effective implementation of several core positioning concepts. It is the first seating product that I have worked with that provides the structural support and stability needed for effective positioning, and it does so without creating too much pressure. We have used the PostureWorks Seating Orthosis with our residents with the most challenging positioning requirements, and it has worked very well. I highly recommend the PostureWorks for residents with difficult wheelchair positioning needs.”

“I love the PostureWorks products! The PostureWorks Seating Orthosis revolutionizes positioning for my elderly clients, particularly those with complex positioning needs. It allows them to sit up, observe their environment, and experience it pain free. I have used it for positioning and restraint reduction for high risk clients and it works great! The PostureWorks has products that everyone deserves – they deserve to be able to sit securely and comfortable and see the world, pain free.”

“The PostureWorks provides us with a whole new avenue for positioning that we didn’t have before. We have used it with our most difficult positioning residents and they are all sitting beautifully. It is putting their entire body into alignment, and we are seeing carryover in their ability to eat, reducing the risk of aspiration. We were able to remove our most challenging resident from a geriatric recliner, where he had to be repositioned several times an hour, and return him to a wheelchair using the PostureWorks. Now he sits up, he smiles, and he interacts with his environment. He is truly a new man!”

“I checked on those residents in the PostureWorks seats. They look great! My staff loves the PostureWorks devices. They did not need to re-position either of the clients for the last 3 days once they were up. These two particular residents have had ongoing positioning problems since they became wheelchair bound. We have made numerous attempts at positioning them including specialty chairs and cushions, and finally we have something that works!”

“The first thing I think of when I think of the PostureWorks is quality! The products are durable, easy to clean and comfortable for our residents. The PostureWorks Seating Orthosis could be used for a wide variety of issues but I have used it very successfully with those residents who are sliding out of their chairs a lot and are at a high risk for falls. Even residents who are just squirmy and have a hard time sitting still have greatly benefited from the use of these products. I feel very comfortable in recommending PostureWorks products to other long term care facilities.”

“The PostureWorks eliminates the need to purchase seat filling cushions secondary to its rigid base. The wedge and cushioning promotes better trunk posture, helps in reducing complaints of ischeal pain, and is rugged an durable. I highly recommend The PostureWorks for patients with seating and positioning dilemmas.”

“The PostureWorks Engage Series II definitely helps anchor and secure a patient into their wheelchair seat. We have used it for high risk patients with head injuries and poor safety awareness, and it has put them in a much safer environment. It has been effective in breaking extensor tone, improving sacral sitting, and reducing their overall risk of injury from positioning problems. I have recommended The PostureWorks to other facilities with difficult positioning patients and will continue to do so.”

“We have used the PostureWorks Seating Orthosis for our residents with complicated positioning problems and it has been very effective. It has improved our residents’ safety in several ways – reducing risk of falls, reducing restraints, and reducing risk of pressure sores. The PostureWorks products are durable and affordable and save my staff considerable time.”

“The PostureWorks products are great and in fact I couldn’t ask for a better positioning device! In the past we have used other wedge cushions, but they were much too soft and didn’t provide our residents with adequate positioning and support. The PostureWorks Engage provide the firmness and great positioning support that we needed. All good positioning starts with the hips, and we have used this product very successfully for residents who have high extensor tone in the trunk as well as other flexion problems. This product really works and I would absolutely recommend this to other long term care facilities!”

“We have used The PostureWorks products at Eliot Healthcare for several months and we think they are great! The PostureWorks products provide our residents with good fundamental positioning and alignment in their wheelchair. We had experienced issues with residents sacral sitting and sliding from their wheelchair and becoming at risk for falling, and using The PostureWorks products has solved that problem. We have also used the PostureWorks device for residents who had lateral leaning problems, and it has been very effective. We have recommended The PostureWorks to other facilities because it is an excellent product for the long term care environment.”

“The PostureWorks provides our residents with excellent postural control. We are using The PostureWorks products with several residents who were at high risk for falling. The PostureWorks product markedly improves their positioning, which leads to increased stability and safety. We also see increases in our residents’ comfort, resulting in reduced agitation, particularly for our residents with dementia.”

“The PostureWorks Engage is simply a really great positioning product. I really like the unique features of the product, such as the stable inner core and the posterior well. Both of these features contribute to a high standard of stability and great positioning, all while helping to provide pressure relief to the sacral area. I have used this product very successfully with my residents, especially those who have issues with sliding and slouching forward. I would absolutely recommend this product to other long term care facilities!”

“The PostureWorks products are great – they immediately solved 2 of our most difficult client wheelchair positioning problems. Each of these clients has been on case load multiple times and we tried everything at our disposal without success. Our most difficult client previously had to be repositioned by nursing every 20 – 30 minutes. We put him in the PostureWorks Engage and immediately he sat up well, with a neutral pelvic position, and a nice upright and midline trunk position. He sat for 4 hours without requiring repositioning! He is comfortable, his family is happy, nursing is happy, and we are very pleased. I absolutely recommend that other long term care facilities try The PostureWorks products for their clients with difficult wheelchair positioning needs.”

“The PostureWorks Seating Orthosis has worked wonderfully for us, and is great for preventing residents from sliding out of their chair. One resident in particular has benefited dramatically from this product. This resident suffered from dementia and side effects from her medications. This caused her to have severely uncontrolled movements, to the point where she was unable to be properly positioned in a wheelchair or Geri-chair. Since we moved her over to a PostureWorks seat, everything has changed. Her movements have decreased dramatically and she is sitting upright in her chair for 6 hours at a time. In addition, her entire demeanor has changed; she is less defensive when touched and [she] interacts with her environment. I would definitely recommend other facilities to give this product a try.”

“The PostureWorks Engage products are very good for patients with difficult wheelchair positioning issues. It helps position and stabilize the pelvis to promote good positioning, and evens out the sacral pressure in the process. We’ve used the Engage on a woman who was a dual hemisphere CVA – she had flaccid tone on the right side, and high tone on the left side, which created a lateral pelvic tilt and trunk rotation. She was unable to sit safely or comfortably in her wheelchair, and as a result she spent very little time out of bed. Now with the PostureWorks Engage she enjoys sitting safely and comfortably in her wheelchair again – she eats in the dining room, she socializes with her friends, and is able to get out and about and live her life.”

“We enjoy working with The PostureWorks for several reasons. Firstly, the company is responsive, flexible, and trustworthy – when they say something, they do it! They have also been very helpful by letting us trial their products when we are not quite sure if the fit is right. The Engage products themselves have worked very well for us, particularly with CVA and MS residents. Most recently we used the Engage for a woman who was post-CVA and has had chronic positioning issues for over a year. Now, with the Engage she is able to sit up well – she is safer, more comfortable, and we have improved her quality of life.”
